Applicants to the post must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years experience gained in a recognised establishment. References will be requested. The vacancy requires applicants to evidence previous supervisory experience commensurate with management positions. You will be directly responsible for the supervision and management of junior staff. As a restaurant manager, you will be expected to demonstrate a knowledge of popular Indian cuisine, including, Familiarity with the workings of a large restaurant, starters, mains, delicatessen and desserts is expected. Applicants will be responsible for managing staff rotas, allocating responsibilities, recruiting waiting and junior kitchen staff, implementing and monitoring adherence to quality control, ensuring kitchen safety and hygiene and compliance with legal and safety regulations. Active previous involvement in menu enhancement, knowledge of beverages and spirits and the ability to ensure the smooth day to day running of a large restaurant and bar with autonomy, whilst supervising others is essential and experience of this supervisory capability will be sought.
