General Manager - Public House This is an exciting opportunity to manage a large venue for one of the UK's leading operators of managed pubs, bars and restaurants. They are one of the great names in licensed retailing and were at the forefront of the creation of the British pub we know today. This opportunity would suit a successful couple with a proven track record of large team and venue management, proven success with functions and the ability to build and expand a business. Job Role: The role involves the day-to-day running and development of this outlet. A large and busy site within the Hull area which has a strong food offering combined with two very busy function rooms. The client is looking for an experienced management couple with the ability to maintain the function and dry sales whilst increasing the wet trade. Your main responsibilities will be: - Staff management and development, recruitment and team creation. - Achieving targets set by the Area Manager, ensuring that maximum profitability is achieved. - Delivering excellent customer service, ensuring high standards at all times. - Merchandising the bar and the front of house area. - Ensuring that all health and safety requirements are met and adhered to.
