Ref No: 717 Vacancy: Training Assessor (Vehicles) Location: Devon & Cornwall /Somerset/Gloucestershire/Wiltshire/Dorset Main Purpose of Role: ·To deliver training and assessment for Level 2 NVQs in Road Passenger Transport – Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles ·The post is mobile and will require travel to a variety of sites within the South West of England ·To create learner portfolios to agreed standards and within specified timelines, and to prepare these portfolios for internal verification and archiving. ·To plan implement and fully document inductions, initial assessments and mid/end of course reviews with learners. ·Liaison with Learners, Quality and Verification Officer, Programme Support Administrator, customer Key Accountabilities: ·Support the Quality and Verification Officer in continuous improvement of the programme. ·Ensure the accurate input of learner data onto the management information system. ·Adhere to strict timelines for registration, internal verification, assessment and certification. ·Ensure timely and regular liaison with the customer to ensure smooth delivery of programme. ·Attendance and constructive programme feedback in team meetings as required by Operations Manager and Internal Verifier. ·Participate fully in Internal and External Verifier visits as required by the Operations Manager and the Quality and Verification Officer. ·Provide assistance to other Training Contract Managers as required by TCM and Quality and Verification Officer. Essential Qualifications and Job Requirements: D32/D33/A1 Must have held or hold a taxi OR PHV operators licence Occupational competency in one or more of the above NVQ areas PCV & HGV Licences desirable Special Attributes: Have excellent personal and group organisation skills. Competent in the use of training media. Possess strong but personable presentation and communication skills. Articulate and personable self-starter prepared to use initiative, coordinate activities and accept responsibility. Proactive, dependable, “people-person” with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and with a positive, approachable, “can-do” attitude.Must be able to inspire confidence and trust and have credibility with all stakeholders including the customer, the Quality and Verification Officer and the awarding body representatives. Post will be based predominantly in one county but will require travel throughout the South West of England. The post will require a willingness to work around the shift patterns of the learners including evenings and weekends. Salary: £20-£22,700k
